Drawing mode engaged

I’m ass-deep in the process of drawing the many, many, many (many, many, many) lots and lots of tiles needed to illustrate the landscapes for the 14 (probably) levels in Eric the game. But I’ve taken most of the last couple of days out to work on marketing so the boring bit isn’t all left until the last minute. Also I read somewhere (Reddit, probably) that you’re meant to market before you even start making a game. Oops. Maybe next time.

Anyways, while I’m on this marketing sidequest, I thought it’d be a good idea to chuck up a quick update.

Eric is currently available for pre-order via Humble Bundle (look mom, I’m marketing!). Also this website is up, so that’s also marketing. And with this singular post, it’ll open the flood gates for me to keep posting updates during the trials and tribulations of getting Eric made and shipped.

I’ve given myself a potentially optimistic goal of 2026 to publish. This is mostly so I don’t over-engineer it into something bigger than the plan. The more time I allow myself, the more I’ll try to do.

But, much like Eric the game’s namesake, it’s meant to be cute and small, Therefore, please feel free to harangue me so that I don’t let that deadline slip.
